Shelby Cunningham and Tricia Dyer have been awarded the Edith Cameron Scholarship and the Ann Bisgyer Wolz Scholarship respectively.
Shelby is the Interactive Media Coordinator at Hudson Fasteners in Youngstown, Ohio, and will attend the National Industrial Fastener & Mill Supply Expo in Las Vegas in October.
Tricia works in sales for Stelfast in the Houston offices. She will attend the Fastener Training Institute for a Certified Fastener Specialist certificate.
WIFI's Scholarship Committee Chair, Beth Van Zandt, was thrilled with this year's caliber of candidates.
"It was a great pool of candidates for each scholarship, and I hope that we will have many more applications next year from women who want to give their careers a boost by attending FTI or the Vegas Expo," says Beth.
Cris Young of Hudson Fasteners will serve as the president of the WIFI Board for 2015. Returning board members are Mary "Lou" Aderman, Pam Berry, Joanne Bialas, Nancy Rich, Sara Vasichek and Suzy Cravens. Rosa Hearn of Brighton Best joins the board and will represent WIFI at events on the west coast.
Officer and committee elections will take place at the first WIFI board meeting in January.
