Our Anchor Bolt Express business is looking for someone special to do Inside & outside sales.

About us:

 Our business has grown in two separate directions. We are one company, but we now have the ASP side of the business that does precision machining and the ABE side that manufactures and sells construction fasteners. The construction fastener part of our business has been growing by double digits over the last few years. We started out selling only what we produced in house but over the past few years we have added associated products, and we just became a stocking Nucor Fastener distributor. We have been growing mostly by adding customers through our website but with our new products we find that we need someone to spread the word in person. We currently work from our location in the Lawrence area of Indianapolis, but ABE is getting its own building in mid or late 2025 located in the town of Middletown Indiana (just east of Anderson). We also have a small plant located in Elgin South Carolina. Elgin is 10 miles east of Columbia.

About the job:

 The job will start out about 1/3 inside sales and 2/3 outside sales. The inside sales will be answering customer calls, emails, and processing orders. Any extra time can be used to do prospecting and planning for your outside days. The outside part of the job will be calling on prospective and existing customers both around Indianapolis and in South Carolina. We will cap travel to around 3 hours from Indy and probably around 2 hours from Columbia SC. We currently have very few ABE customers in South Carolina. We would like our salesperson to commit to at least 3 South Carolina visits of 3 or 4 days per year. We also will probably ask that you attend a fastener or construction show once or twice during the year. We will have a new vehicle in Indiana for you to use on your outside days and a van and office to use when in South Carolina. You will have a flexible schedule but we ask that you average 35 hours per week with 12 of those hours being inside and once a week inside from 4:30-5:30 PM.

Qualifications:

The perfect candidate would have prior Sales or Sourcing experience in the Fastener or commercial construction or Steel fabrication business. Knowing about anchor bolts and other construction fasteners is important. Having contacts in the Construction and Fabricating world would be very helpful. Anyone doing outside sales must be able to work without much direction and must be able to stay on task. You must be able and willing to do some cold calls to new potential customers. As our representative to our customers, we are looking for someone who reflects the honesty, ethics and morals we as people and a company stive to be.

Compensation:

We plan on offering between 55-70K per year to start depending on level of experience. We offer a 50% 401K match to 2% max. We pay 50% employee health insurance and offer dental. We are closed from Christmas days to New years day each year.
