Role Description: Business Development Manager — Regional Territories (Hunter / New Business)

This is a full-time, remote role focused on winning new business and expanding Cyclone Bolt’s presence across designated territories. This is not an account manager role. We are looking for a true hunter—someone who thrives on outbound prospecting, opening doors, creating opportunities from scratch, and consistently closing new accounts.

You will build a territory plan, identify and pursue high-value targets, and drive business from first contact → quote → close → repeat orders, working closely with internal quoting, operations, and quality teams to deliver compliant, on-time solutions.

 

Territories Needed

  1. East North Central

  2. East South Central

  3. South Atlantic

  4. West North Central

  5. West / Pacific

  6. Canada

  7. South America

(Candidates may cover one region or multiple regions depending on experience and existing relationships.)

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new opportunities weekly through outbound prospecting (calls, emails, in-person visits, Teams meetings and networking)

  • Identify, target, and win new logos in industrial bolting / engineered fasteners

  • Build and execute a territory plan (target list, cadence, pipeline goals, and conversion strategy)

  • Manage opportunities from lead → quote → close → repeat business

  • Maintain strong pipeline discipline, CRM updates, and forecasting

  • Represent Cyclone Bolt at industry trade shows, customer events, and onsite visits

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and territory performance; adjust strategy accordingly

  • Coordinate internally to ensure fast quoting, technical alignment, and on-time execution

 

Qualifications

  • Proven success in hunter-style business development / outside sales

  • Fastener and/or gasket industry experience is required

  • Experience selling into industrial markets such as oil & gas, mining, pulp & paper, and food & beverage (or similar heavy industrial manufacturing environments)

  • Comfortable in technical selling environments (specs, compliance, lead times, substitutions/approvals)

  • Strong negotiation, account strategy, and territory planning skills

  • Excellent communication, follow-up, and presentation skills

  • Understanding of manufacturing and supply chain dynamics is a plus

  • Ability to work independently in a remote role while contributing to a team

  • Proficiency in CRM tools and pipeline/reporting discipline

  • Willing to travel

  • Bilingual a plus

  • Basic computer skills are a must

  • Use of AI is a plus
