"In this male dominated industry, WIFI to me becomes a sisterhood – an organization that brings women together to empower, to mentor, to understand each other. I joined the board to continue this movement. It is my goal to reinforce to any young lady out there that has a doubt in her mind about excelling in this industry to know that you can do it. WIFI sisters are an amazing support system!"
Gloria Medina entered the fastener industry in 2010. Her first role was order entry for manufacturing, where she became fascinated with materials, thread pitches, machines, and all the product lines. After the sales manager noticed her ambition, she was offered a position in the sales department. She rose in the ranks to become the top quote/bid preparer and began supervising a team and training new hires soon after. Continuing her success, she was promoted to Senior Account Manager.
Gloria craved more challenges, and sought out a position at Dallas Fastener in 2016 where she currently works and thrives. She credits much of her knowledge to her supportive team at DF. As one of the top sales reps, Gloria strives to continually challenge herself to be better each day. During her time in the industry, she has welcomed a handsome son, Aiden, and returned to finish her Bachelor’s in accounting. In 2015, she was the recipient of the Edith Cameron Scholarship from the WIFI organization.
