Meet Evelyn Padilla

How did you start in The Fastener Industry?

My adventure with the fastener industry started not too long ago. I was hired at Brighton-Best International November 2017 as a Shipping Manger, I would print the sales order and distribute them amongst the departments. But since my time with BBI, I have grown and expanded my knowledge on how a company comes to be. I have jumped from shipping, receiving containers, forklifts, packaging and fixing our inventory. I am a “back-up” for nearly every warehouse department, I also help prepare material and schedule shipments to our international branches. I am still a “newbie” to this industry, but with the amazing team here and with other fellow WIFI members I will be able to learn from each and every one of you.

What is one accomplishment in your present job are you most proud of?

Well I would say the one accomplishment that I am the most proud of is my ability to tackle tasks from start to finish. I have multiple tasks throughout the day whether its hopping on the forklift and fixing/correcting any issues we have with our inventory, covering a department or doing a project with the operations team. It’s knowing that people can count on me to get a job done without hesitation. I am proud that I am always wanting to learn and grow with the company.

What is one favorite thing about your job?

The one favorite thing about my job is my coworkers. It takes a team to build a company, and the team we have here at BBI is exceptional! When anyone needs help someone is always there to lend a helping hand. We all come to work with a positive vibes and we all come to work on our common goal which is to get the orders out and satisfy our customers.

What is one thing we might not know about you that you would like the Fastener Industry to know?

Probably a random fact about me is that I love all things Disney!(my wedding was even Disney inspired) I am currently an annual pass holder. So if I am not at work; you will most likely find me at the parks eating a churro and waiting in line for Space Mountain.
